Members

The Members of Estuaries Multi Academy Trust are responsible for overseeing the governance of the Trust. 
Our Members are:
I am Chair of the Trust Board and we are responsible ensuring the strategic direction of the Trust is upheld. 

I am a Chartered Accountant with Board experience of listed financial services companies and not for profit organisations.  In the past I have specialised in Business Strategy, Finance, Investment Management and IT within large businesses.  My aim is to help the Board clearly set out the Trust's strategic objectives and then build robust and scalable operations to achieve these objectives over time for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Every Academy Trust which includes a Church of England school or has Church Articles in the Diocese of Exeter, has EDEN as a corporate Member.

EDEN is the Diocesan body in all such Academy Trusts. EDEN has exactly the same function as all other Members of the Academy Trust but with an additional role associated with the appointment of the Foundation Trustees and who’s duties include the safeguarding and promotion of the Trust’s Christian ethos.

I have a depth of experience related to business and personal coaching, with my business experience combined with a range of coaching skills, I ensure significant results for those I work with. I have a keen eye for performance enhancing opportunities allowing clients to excel their expectations. My personal success in his business is attributed to the congruence and commitment I apply.

Humpty Dumpty Childcare is a family run business with an excellent reputation for providing early years care and education for children between 3 months and 5 years.

We are excited to be working with Estuaries Multi Academy Trust and will ensure putting children at the heart of our service remains our priority.

As a higher education provider, the University of Exeter combines teaching excellence and high levels of student satisfaction.

Our success is built on a strong partnership with our students and a clear focus on high performance. We are very happy to be working with Estuaries Multi Academy Trust to further improve the education of the young people across all schools in the Trust.

Trust Board

The Estuaries Multi Academy Trust Board are responsible for ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the Trust. 

They holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff; and oversee the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.

As Chair of the Trust Board I ensure we hold leaders to account to deliver excellent educational performance across all our academies.

I have experience as a school governor as a local authority governor in a Voluntary Aided Primary School and as the Chair of Governors in a Single Academy Trust. 

I have a post graduate degree in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care; the skills I developed through this learning are transferrable into education as it provided opportunities to learn about the strategic planning and development of organisations.  I am passionate that schools should be safe and secure environments to enable learners to reach their maximum potential.

As an in-house Solicitor managing a team of Solicitors and Legal Executives I am an experienced manager.

I advise on the legal and procedural aspects of local government in the context of the conduct of committees. I advise on many aspects of law. For example, I have sound and practical knowledge of the application of employment law, and advise regularly on contract and procurement law.

As a Secondary School Head Teacher, I provide experience and advice with regards to whole school improvement, including improving student outcomes and safeguarding provision.  

I am responsible for HR, strategic planning and the development of the school.  I am accountable for the appraisal and retention of staff as well as whole school outcomes and performance.  I was a National Award winner for Inclusion and was awarded the Outstanding New Teacher of the Year Award for the South West in 2003.

I work to ensure that the ethics, values and ethos of the schools and the founding principles of the Trust are being upheld. 

I have experience of compliance, health and safety and business conduct and ethics within my work and I am excited to bring these skills to the Trust Board of Estuaries Multi Academy Trust.

I am one of the team vicars in the Newton Abbot parish. 

The main focus of my ministry is centred around new housing areas, specifically Houghton Barton and Rew Farm. I am really excited to see what God is going to do in these new and growing communities, alongside doing the other half of my job which is being a priest in Newton Abbot working in the five churches that make up our benefice.

I am responsible for extensive international education and training programmes and have had institutional management experience for over 40 years.

Following 2 years Voluntary Service Overseas in Africa, I established Community Industry and then in 1977 the UK’s first TV based social broadcasting programme for unemployed young people. I then established Dartington Tech Ltd funded with many government training contracts and was a Dartington College of Arts governor. Subsequently I have worked for 20 years as a manager and a consultant adviser to several World bank, EU and UN funded international education and training programmes working with Ministries of Education in Africa and the Pacific. I currently hold directorships with two companies.  

After working in Marketing for several years I went back to University to study law and am now an associate lawyer for a multi-national law firm.

I use both pragmatic and creative approaches to problem solving and will consider complex information and provide strategic solutions. I will always understand the commercial constraints and try to ensure that any advice given considers all parameters.

As CEO of Estuaries Multi Academy Trust I strive to inspire all members of our Trust to be better than they ever dreamed they could be.
